Promising Hands LLC is a licensed and insured Personal Assistance Services (PAS) agency based in Dallas, TX, dedicated to helping older adults and individuals with disabilities live safely and comfortably in their own homes. We're looking for a compassionate, dependable Personal Care Attendant to provide direct, hands-on support to clients in their homes. This is a hands-on caregiving role — not an office position — ideal for someone who takes real pride in caring for others and wants to grow with a new, locally owned agency from the ground floor.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help clients move safely around their home, including transfers, repositioning, and mobility support
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed, following any dietary guidelines
- Provide medication reminders to help clients stay on schedule
- Perform light housekeeping directly related to client care, such as laundry and tidying living areas
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or errands as scheduled
- Offer companionship and meaningful conversation to support each client's emotional well-being
- Notice and promptly report any changes in a client's condition to the office
- Log visit times and complete care documentation accurately using a smartphone app
Skills
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Able to pass all required background checks, including criminal history and state registry checks
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Physically able to assist clients with mobility, transfers, and light lifting
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable, with strong communication skills
- Prior caregiving experience (personal, family, or professional) is a plus — paid orientation is provided for those new to the field
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- Comfortable using a smartphone for basic visit check-in/check-out
