Pay: $70–$90 Per HourVarious Locations Throughout New York City
SETSSproviders.com, LLC is a special education services company that connects and places qualified, certified SETSS providers with students who need Special Education Teacher Support Services throughout New York City. We are building a strong network of experienced providers for flexible SETSS assignments. Whenever possible, we work to keep your caseload at one location to minimize travel between assignments; however, placement at a single location cannot be guaranteed.
.SETSS Teacher Certification Requirements
Applicants must hold at least one of the following New York State Education Department (NYSED) credentials:
- Provisional or Permanent NYSED License in Special Education
- Professional, Initial, or Permanent NYSED Certificate in Students with Disabilities — CHILDHOOD OR ALL GRADES
- Professional, Initial, or Permanent NYSED Certificate in Reading/Literacy
- Internship Certificate in Students with Disabilities
- Transitional B Certificate in Students with Disabilities
- Internship Certificate in Reading/Literacy
- Transitional B Certificate in Reading/Literacy
Bilingual SETSS Providers
For providers delivering bilingual SETSS services, acceptable evidence of bilingual proficiency includes:
- New York State Education Department Bilingual Education Assessment (BEA) and/or
- New York State Education Department Bilingual Extension Certificate
Service Locations: NYC Public Schools, Charter Schools, and Private Schools - Home Caseloads
Qualifications
- NYS Students with Disabilities – School Age certification or other certification appropriate for the SETSS assignment
- NYCPS PETS clearance and/or ability to meet applicable NYCPS clearance requirements, inclusive of fingerprinting
- Experience providing SETSS and/or working with students with disabilities
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to maintain required student records and service documentation
- Professional, dependable, and committed to student success
Compensation
$70–$90 per hour, based on assignment and group size.
