Marco Supply Company Inc. seeks permanent General Warehouse/Distribution Associates for its growing East Chicago, Indiana facility.
General Warehouse and Distribution Experience preferred. Workers with special skills, such as pipe, (cutting, grooving, threading), knowledge of valves and fittings and/or picking, shipping, receiving, and fork-lift operations are especially desired but we may be willing to train those who demonstrate an aptitude and willingness to learn and work hard.. Job Duties May Include:
- Pulling, filling, packing and setting up orders for delivery or pickup
- Ability to load and off-load a truck
- Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order
- Receive shipments, apply material committed to a sales order and maintain inventory through audits/counts
- Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up
- Operate a forklift & overhead crane safely
- Keep forklift charged
- Learn and operate the groover, saw and threader and perform these tasks, not only for our will call customers, but, on occasion, to assist other warehouse with their fabrication overflow.
- Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently, both within our four walls and the exterior grounds.
- Keep tools, carts, pallet jack, etc., within their designated area
- Maintain pipe bay area, allowing for passage of trucks
- Process returns accurately
- Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace
- Attend product knowledge meetings as required by management
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Stand/walk for duration of work hours
- Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 7 0 lbs.)
- Pass a drug screen and background check
- Education: High school diploma/GED preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in similar position preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
