Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for reservations and order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts; multitasking is essential
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in the food industry
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
- Experience with culinary tasks or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required
- Excellent communication skills to engage guests and collaborate with team members effectively
