- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student performance regularly using standardized testing, formative assessments, and performance data analysis to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists in special education or early intervention programs to support diverse learning needs, including working with students with autism or other exceptionalities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral incidents while ensuring compliance with educational regulations and policies.
- Foster literacy development through proofreading exercises, writing skills enhancement, and library services integration.
- Develop curriculum materials that incorporate Montessori or other pedagogical approaches when applicable.
- Participate in school administration meetings, staff development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple subjects including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and early childhood education principles.
- Experience integrating educational technology into daily lessons for enhanced learning outcomes.
- Strong background in classroom management techniques coupled with behavior management skills.
- Familiarity with special education practices such as early intervention strategies and working with students with autism or other developmental needs.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and student performance data analysis for instructional planning.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and developmental stages of children.
