We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to report changes or concerns promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's disease, through specialized techniques and patience.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients.
- Document care activities meticulously in accordance with healthcare standards and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and support teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable.
- Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in health or behavior promptly.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, or geriatrics is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary for patient transfers or mobility assistance.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
- Valid certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional certifications in dementia or hospice care are advantageous.
