Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group (JAM) is seeking a full-time Venue Sales Manager to lead sales efforts for The Judge Morris Estate, one of our upcoming venues in New Castle, DE. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong person-to-person sales background (non-retail) and bring proven management experience to direct a diverse team in a fast-paced, changing work environment with hard deadlines.
JAM is known for providing innovative cuisine and extraordinary hospitality at hundreds of weddings and special events every year in the tri-state area. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including potential bonuses. This opportunity is a commission draw with total compensation in the annual range of $65,000 - $90,000 with more earnings potential as the venue grows. Duties & Responsibilities:

Promptly follow up with all inquiries/prospects and qualify leads as appropriate, including in-person, phone, and email interactions.

Take prospects to closing (signed contract) and maintain client relationships.

Manage venue personnel including event designers and site supervisors to ensure the successful execution of events according to the client's vision.

Conduct outreach to with corporate and other social organizations.

Schedule, coordinate, and attend venue open house events.

Schedule and conduct venue tours.

Collaborate with the Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the physical management of the properties.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 8 years of full-time work experience, including 3-5 years of commission-based sales experience (non-retail).

Proven excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, both verbal and written.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Sales CRM, and other relevant software.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, especially during our busy wedding seasons.

Excellent references that can attest to sales, leadership, and management abilities.

Background in hospitality or familiarity with the food & beverage industry is preferred.

Possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
