This position is temporary with the opportunity to get hired on full time

Location

Chicago, IL

Pay Rate

$19.64/hr

Shift/Schedule
12:30pm – 9:00pm Monday-Friday

Overtime as needed

Position Summary
The Inventory Control, Quality Assurance, and Fulfillment (ICQAF) Associate is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy, quality assurance processes, and fulfillment operations throughout the warehouse. This role ensures products are accurately received, stored, counted, picked, staged, verified, and shipped while maintaining inventory integrity, compliance standards, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Assist in daily warehouse operations including vendor receiving, computer system operation, tagging, picking, staging, fulfillment, and inventory management of all products.

Perform inventory monitoring, cycle counts, and investigations into inventory discrepancies and irregularities.

Enter inventory transactions, adjustments, transfers, and count results into warehouse management systems and databases.

Organize and secure materials such as boxes, pallets, and other warehouse supplies.

Load and unload products using forklifts and other material handling equipment onto pallets, platforms, skids, trucks, or lifting devices.

Examine, verify, and inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Read and verify tickets, manifests, invoices, and orders to ensure accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.

Document inventory discrepancies between system records and physical inventory and assist in resolving variances.

Process damaged, defective, expired, or non-conforming inventory according to established procedures.

Record and monitor shelf-life inventory and notify appropriate personnel when materials have expired or are nearing expiration.

Prepare inventory-related reports and participate in regular physical inventory counts and audits.

Receive, count, verify, and reconcile product quantities as required.

Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and warehouse operating procedures.

Work with teams to achieve and improve key performance metrics, inventory accuracy goals, and engineered labor standards.

Troubleshoot inventory and fulfillment issues with supervisors and management as needed.

Qualifications

Warehouse experience preferred.

Stand-up forklift and order picker experience preferred.

Must be a team player.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prove dependability and attendance.

Must have basic math and computer skills.

Willing to work weekends, holidays, or different shifts when needed to support business operations.

Must be able to work in cold environments.

Must be able to repetitively lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds.

Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and squatting. Also, frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level, and from the floor.

IL Paid Leave for All Workers

An employee that works in Illinois is entitled to?accrue?and?use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a?12 month?period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave?under the provisions of?the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act. The?12 month?accrual?period is considered to begin for new employees on the?employees?first day of employment. An employee is entitled to begin using earned and?accrued?paid leave time 90 calendar days after commencement of employment. Paid leave under this Act shall?accrue?at the rate of one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked up to?40 hours?of paid leave

Eligibility: Active?employees with one year of work and during that one year?has?completed 1,000 hours of service and is at least 21 years of age. Entry dates into the 401(k) are: 1/1 or 7/1 following the one year of service and completing?1,000 hours?of work.

The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution.?As well as,?match 50% of the next 2% of the employee contribution. (The company contribution/match maximum is 4%)
