Position Summary
Rivera Law Group is hiring Legal Assistants to support our busy Houston personal injury practice. This is a general opening: we are building our Finance, Negotiations, and Pre-Litigation teams, and we place each hire where their strengths fit best. No prior legal experience is required. We train the right people and are looking for candidates who are organized, dependable, and great with clients. If you are eager to start a career in law, we want to meet you.
Backgrounds That Transfer Well
No legal experience needed. Many of our strongest team members came from other industries. You may be a great fit if you have worked in:
- Customer service or call center work: you are comfortable on the phone and stay calm with people
- Medical, dental, or insurance offices: you know records, billing, and follow up
- Healthcare, caregiving, or social services: you are patient and genuinely help people through hard moments
- Retail or restaurant management, front desk, or scheduling: you juggle many tasks at once and stay on top of them
What You Will Do
- Communicate with clients and keep them updated on their case
- Organize medical records, bills, and case documents
- Follow up on appointments, records, and outstanding items
- Maintain accurate and current case notes
- Support attorneys and team leads with day to day tasks
- Learn firm systems and procedures through hands on training
Qualifications
- No prior legal experience required, willingness to learn is essential
- Strong communication skills and a client focused attitude
- Organized, dependable, and able to follow established processes
- Comfortable with phones, email, and basic computer systems
- Interest in building a career in the legal field
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred, not required
Office Location
Rivera Law Group is currently located at 1111 North Loop West, Suite 140, Houston, TX 77008. The firm will be relocating to 11011 Jones Road, Houston, TX by the end of 2026. Candidates should be comfortable with both the current location and the upcoming move.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
