About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Systems Engineer with strong expertise in ERP and MES systems to support and optimize manufacturing operations across our manufacturing and solar energy business units. This role will work closely with production, operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehouse, and finance teams to improve system integration, manufacturing traceability, automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in manufacturing environments and understands how ERP and MES platforms support production planning, inventory control, quality systems, shop-floor operations, and manufacturing data visibility. Experience in renewable energy, solar manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work directly with shop-floor teams and manufacturing equipment, and the capability to support fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and optimize ERP and MES platforms across manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehouse, and finance teams to improve workflows and system integration
- Configure and troubleshoot ERP/MES applications, interfaces, and reporting tools
- Develop dashboards, KPI reports, and operational analytics for production, quality, inventory, downtime, and efficiency tracking
- Support production traceability and manufacturing data accuracy
- Assist with system upgrades, implementation projects, and data migration activities
- Ensure system reliability, cybersecurity, and data integrity across manufacturing systems
- Integrate shop-floor equipment and manufacturing data with enterprise systems
- Support ISO/QMS reporting requirements and operational documentation processes
- Improve manufacturing workflow automation and operational efficiency initiatives
- Support users with training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities
- Work with vendors and external integrators as needed
- Participate in digital transformation and smart manufacturing initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience supporting ERP and/or MES systems in manufacturing environments
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory, quality, and supply chain processes
- Experience with databases, SQL, reporting tools, and system integrations
- Experience working in industrial/manufacturing software environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to support fast-paced manufacturing operations and work directly with shop-floor teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP
- Experience in solar energy, renewable energy, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, IIoT, or industrial automation systems
- Experience with manufacturing traceability systems and production data management
- Familiarity with ISO/QMS systems and manufacturing compliance requirements
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for manufacturing systems
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
