The Institutional Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner using standard cooking techniques and appropriate commercial kitchen equipment while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.

Health Benefit Option:

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to established menus and requirements

Use standard cooking techniques and appropriate commercial kitchen equipment

Prepare food in appropriate quantities while maintaining quality and portion control

Follow established food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness requirements

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized food-service environment

Properly store, handle, and rotate food and supplies
-
Follow facility policies and procedures related to food service and sanitation

Perform other food-service duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

Previous institutional cooking experience beneficial but not required

Ability to prepare meals using standard cooking techniques and commercial kitchen equipment

Ability to work effectively in a structured institutional environment

Valid driver's license
-
No prior criminal history

Dependable and able to maintain regular attendance

Ability to comply with all facility safety, sanitation, and food-service requirements
