Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments utilizing clinical documentation standards and ICD coding for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and best practices in behavioral health.
- Maintain detailed medical records and documentation using EMR/EHR systems while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, pediatric specialists, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Provide telehealth therapy services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health support across diverse settings.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid advanced license in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, or related fields with certification in psychotherapy or clinical counseling.
- Demonstrate extensive experience working with children, youth, and individuals with developmental disabilities or co-occurring disorders.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation using ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
- Strong background in crisis management, trauma-informed care (including PTSD care), grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management techniques.
- Skilled in delivering evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, or gender issues counseling.
- Experience working with inpatient/outpatient populations within hospital or clinic settings; familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical research methods and data collection to support ongoing treatment efficacy evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; experience with telehealth platforms is highly desirable.
