What You'll Do
Check building systems including all MEP, fire alarms, electrical,HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within designcapabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
Oversee and inspect the work performed by engineering staffto make sure the work is complete; equipment is functioning accurately, andclient space is in great working condition.
Track the training and development of staff. Conductperformance evaluations and provide mentorship opportunities. Coordinate therecruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establishwork schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor andcoach as needed.
Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenanceprograms and safety procedure manuals.
Ensure that mechanics and technicians receive accurateinformation and materials about assignments to complete work activitiessuccessfully.
Develop material and labor cost estimates for work orders,preventative maintenance activities, systems, and construction projects.
Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance.
Respond to emergency situations and ask for help whenneeded.
Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, bettermethods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
Showcase expertise in own job subject area and in-depthknowledge of other job subject areas within the organization function.
Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise inmost or all areas within the function.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent withCBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, oftenat senior levels and of divergent interest, to embrace a different point ofview.

What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Trade License is preferred .
Experience in a leadership position in a related field is a plus.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Proficient in effectively managing tasks with a curious attitude.
Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Chief Building Engineer Supervisor is $130,000 and the maximum salary for Chief Building Engineer Supervisor position is $145,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
