We are currently seeking a Logistics Specialist I to support the effective coordination and optimization of hospital logistics and supply chain operations.
In this role, you will:
- Build strong relationships with clinical staff, Logistics coordinators, managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective supply chain operations and engagement.
- Organize and maintain stockrooms by establishing and updating dividers, bins, labels, and product locations to support accurate and efficient inventory management.
- Monitor product changes, inventory levels, backorders, and stockouts while proactively coordinating with clinical, distribution, and warehouse teams to mitigate supply risks.
- Maintain inventory and par locations using systems such as Bartender and PeopleSoft, ensuring accurate product information, labeling, and location-specific updates.
- Conduct research, data analysis, standardized reporting, and inventory metrics to identify operational needs, improve inventory control, and support cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with analysts and other teams to identify business and technical challenges, develop innovative solutions, optimize technology and processes.
We require:
- High school diploma or at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- At least 2 years of healthcare materials management experience, preferably in an Operating Room setting.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills (English), and the ability to work effectively with clinical staff, physicians, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of policy and process development, management, and implementation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including responding to crisis situations.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing and walking, as well as moving and lifting supplies and equipment.
