RendezVous is seeking a motivated and hospitality-driven team member to join our Front of House team in a dual Part-Time Server / Part-Time Expo role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both guest interaction and ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and dining room.
We are looking for an individual with high standards, strong attention to detail, and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. Candidates should have at least 2–3 years of restaurant experience, preferably in an upscale or semi-fine dining environment. Knowledge of wine service is a plus, and a willingness to learn about (and confidently pronounce) French food items is essential.
This role will be split between serving guests on the dining room floor and working as an expo, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of food while maintaining clear communication between the kitchen and service teams. Success in this position requires organization, urgency, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to guests
- Assisting guests with menu selections, wine recommendations, and dining experiences
- Expediting food from the kitchen and ensuring accuracy, quality, and presentation standards
- Communicating effectively between kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Supporting fellow team members and contributing to a positive work environment
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service
Team members joining RendezVous will participate in multi-level training, including server, expo, server assist, and host responsibilities. We believe every front-of-house employee should understand and be able to execute multiple positions, creating a stronger and more cohesive team.
Requirements:
- 2–3+ years of restaurant experience preferred
- Experience in upscale or semi-fine dining preferred
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain composed under pressure
- Positive attitude, team-first mentality, and sense of humor
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
