Summary
As a Warehouse Associate for a Pet Supplement Company, you will be integral to our operations, reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and Operations Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include managing inventory, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems (preferred but not required)
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Commitment to safety and adherence to warehouse protocols
Responsibilities and Duties
Follow all work instructions and safety rules in all activities performed.
Processing Orders
- Prepares orders by processing requests in the pick list, accurately and timely, pulling products, preparing packages for shipping and placing orders in the delivery area, according to established procedures and guaranteeing compliance with customers’ requests.
- Meet all productivity standards in a timely manner.
- Accurately handles all related paperwork or documents, recording or verifying pertinent information such as lot codes, quantity picked, destination, dimensions and shipping cost.
Replenishments
- Replenishment of product in loose pick locations.
- Replenishment of products (from production, receiving), considering the FIFO (First In/ First Out) methodology.
Receiving
- Receives incoming products assigned rapidly, efficiently, and accurately.
- Check or count products for accuracy and damage/ infestation.
- Load and unload products onto or from delivery vehicles, pallets.
Inventory
- Inventory checks and adjustments.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee accuracy of inventory.
- Participating in physical inventory and cycle counts.
Warehouse Maintenance
- Pay attention to the environment and take responsibility to pick up any items out of place
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse
- Warehouse maintenance (disposing of boxes, sweeping, garbage, keeping floors free of paper/garbage).
Safety
- Knowledgeable with all safety procedures and practices safe operation always.
- Performs equipment, rack inspections and overall warehouse safety reviews.
- May move products and materials using a pallet jack, electric pallet jack or other equipment.
