Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Canning Line Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the automated canning line to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production of packaged food and beverage products. Your proactive approach will help maintain strict adherence to safety standards, food safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols. Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee the functioning of the canning line equipment, ensuring smooth and continuous production flow.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery for proper operation, performing minor adjustments or troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning equipment and work areas in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Handle industrial chemicals safely during cleaning and maintenance processes, following all safety guidelines.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting to load raw materials or move packaged products within the facility.
- Monitor product quality throughout the process, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and packaging specifications.
- Document production data, quality checks, and maintenance activities accurately in line with manufacturing procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move raw materials or finished goods as required.
- Adhere to safety standards in production environments, including proper PPE use and hazard awareness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying potential issues or inefficiencies on the line.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing, packaging, or food/beverage production environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures, HACCP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Experience with brewing or craft beer production is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Warehouse experience with forklift operation certification is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in industrial settings, especially related to chemical handling and heavy machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance within the food industry.
