The Strategic Partnerships Team sits in the Global Dining Organization tasked with owning partnerships with our top restaurant and chef partners, the Global Dining Access Program and deepening engagement with the most impactful restaurants to our business and Card Member base. The team works in partnership with Account Management, Sales, Marketing and the broader American Express organization to identify opportunities to enhance what it means to be a partner of American Express Global Dining.
About the Role
The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for owning our top-tier restaurant relationships, acting as the conduit between our restaurant partners and our internal American Express business units. The successful candidate will be partnering cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to organize, maintain and grow our restaurant partnerships. This role will be a key point of connectivity across the Amex Global Dining organization and within workstreams focused on the dining value proposition for our top-tier restaurant population. This role will report into the Director, Strategic Partnerships, providing broader thought leadership, organization, tracking and support as needed.
- 8+ years of work experience partnership management roles
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience and/or other certifications
- Hospitality and Restaurant Industry Expertise Required
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint + Excel Skills Required
- Previous work with SalesForce Preferred
- You are a problem-solver and self-starter who operates with a sense efficiency, organization and urgency
- You have excellent organization skills with a track record of successfully delivering results on complex, large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
- You are a relationship-builder with collaborative skills to partner with a diverse set of colleagues
- You have outstanding written communication skills and oral communications skills with composure required to effectively communicate to senior leaders
- You have deep knowledge of the restaurant industry and experience working with restaurant operators
- You are confident to work in a global environment dealing with different stakeholders (marketing, digital product, card product, customer service, legal, compliance, and external partners)
- You have high-level leadership skills
- You are able to drive results via influence
- You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
