Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with trailers and related equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all trailers are safe and operational for our customers. A commitment to excellent customer service is essential as you will interact with clients to provide updates and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues in trailers and related equipment.
- Perform repairs on diesel engines, farm machinery, and automotive systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of trailers.
- Align wheels and perform tire services as needed.
- Assemble and disassemble trailer components for repair or replacement.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their trailer needs.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to enhance workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, specifically with trailers.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and automotive repair practices.
- Familiarity with fleet maintenance and farm machinery is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy components and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
