Assistant Project Manager | Heavy Civil Construction | Western Massachusetts
A growing heavy civil contractor in Western Massachusetts is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to its team. What You'll Be Doing
- Support the Project Manager in delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Coordinate daily communication between the office, field teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Review drawings and specifications while assisting with project planning and execution.
- Track project costs, budgets, schedules, and overall financial performance.
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, invoices, procurement documentation, and daily reports.
- Assist with material procurement and coordinate deliveries to maintain project schedules.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, engineers, and trade partners.
- Work closely with Superintendents to ensure work is progressing according to plans and specifications.
- Promote a strong safety culture by helping monitor jobsite compliance and OSHA standards.
What They're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in construction project coordination, project engineering, or Assistant Project Management.
- Experience within heavy civil construction, site development, earthwork, utilities, or infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Procore, Sage 100 Construction, Microsoft Excel, or similar construction software.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and coordinate project documentation.
- OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver's license required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
