We’re seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and reporting manufacturing costs to support operational and financial decision-making. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance teams to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The Senior Cost Accountant plays a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving financial controls, and driving operational efficiency.
What you will be doing:
Analyze standard costs, inventory transactions, and manufacturing variances to ensure accurate product costing and financial reporting.
Perform month-end close activities, including cost allocations, inventory reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
Prepare and maintain cost, inventory, margin, and profitability reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes by providing cost analysis and manufacturing insights.
Coordinate and support cycle counts, physical inventories, and audit requirements while ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, process improvements, and efficiencies across manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Review bills of materials (BOMs), labor routings, and overhead rates to maintain accurate standard costs.
Partner with operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance teams to evaluate performance, improve cost visibility, and drive profitability initiatives.
Assist with capital project analysis, inventory management initiatives, and other ad hoc financial analyses as needed.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
CPA or CMA preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
Effective communicator able to work across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
