Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in ensuring every guest feels appreciated and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining or service experience. We will depend on the host to deliver memorable guest interactions and supporting smooth inn and restaurant operations. This role will also require checking guests in the hotel, providing support through out the evening if they have any issues or questions.
Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and assist them in seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and using Open Table.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold high standards of guest presentation
- Assist with dinner and inn guest inquiries, special requests, and provide directions within the establishment
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors
Skills
- Previous host experience in a food service or restaurant environment
- Strong customer service skills with a warm, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience working in hospitality settings like hotels or restaurants is preferred
- Knowledge of guest services, serving protocols, and hospitality standards to enhance guest satisfaction
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
