Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Expo/Food Runner to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Deliver prepared food orders from the kitchen to tables efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with food running duties, including refilling beverages and delivering additional items as needed.
- Support the cleaning and bussing of tables to maintain a tidy dining area throughout service.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of food trays and supplies following safe lifting practices.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff about order readiness and special requests using POS systems like Aloha or Micros.
- Help with basic food handling and safety procedures to ensure all dishes meet health standards.
- Collaborate with team members to support smooth service flow during busy hours and special events like banquets.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is highly desirable, especially in restaurant or banquet settings.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and proper manual handling techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective guest interactions and team coordination.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude with a focus on providing excellent customer service in person.
