We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled RN Admission Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient assessment, medical documentation, and clinical procedures, ensuring seamless admission processes for diverse patient populations. The RN Admission Nurse will play a vital role in coordinating initial patient evaluations, managing medical records, and supporting multidisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
Position Summary: Primary responsibility to perform admission assessments. This position also includes supervision of staff, coordinating care per facility policies & procedures. Must be able to work time schedule dictated by facility needs.

Job Requirements:
Education:
Minimum of a current Registered Nurse License in New York State
Experience:
At least six months experience in a long term care facility
Skills:
Able to relate to coworkers and an elderly population. Interpersonal, active listening, teaching, observational, reporting, monitoring, delegating and leadership skills
Equipment to be Used:
General office equipment, basic nursing equipment, medication cart, treatment cart and supplies, rehabilitation equipment, syringes, O2 equipment, suction machines, medication and pill accessories, tube feeding equipment, pumps, IV equipment, Nebulizers, mechanical lifts, enema equipment, otoscopes, beds, scales, bed and chair alarms, key pads for alarms, lift devices, pulse O2 units, restraints, gait belts, glucose monitors, tracheotomies and supplies, ostomy products, urinary catheters and bags, infection control equipment, fire equipment and alarms, and other equipment that is required for the care of residents in a long term care facility.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
Full range of motion including handling and lifting of residents, manual finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, standing and sitting for extended periods of time, ability to ascend and descend two flights of stairs, no restrictions in weight lifting, vision and hearing to normal range, ability to communicate orally and in writing, written skills above average, and able to do simple math and analyze complex information.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed on the nursing unit with other staff, residents and families. Some exposure to communicable disease, toxic substances, medical preparations and other conditions of a clinical environment in long term care.
Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
