POSITION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Assistant (WA) - is an individual selected to aid in controlling the flow of stock through the warehouse, monitoring goods in and out, safely and efficiently moving and handling items and keeping stock records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loads and unloads goods and products from delivery trucks or vans and places in designated area.
- Ensures that Warehouse Manager and Procurement Representative are made aware so that inventory levels accurately reflect movement.
- Checks to make sure that the correct quantities and type of goods and products have been received or are being delivered.
- Records any damaged, missing or faulty goods or products and informs Procurement Representative or Warehouse Manager of findings.
- Signs the delivery form once satisfied that the goods are complete.
- Labels all goods or material for clear identification with the warehouse or facility.
- Allocates storage space for all materials and goods received.
- Prepares notes and labels for all goods and materials
- Moves, stacks and organizes all inventory either by hand or by mechanical means.
- Keeps the warehouse and associated areas of the facility clean and organized to ensure efficient and effective inventory control.
- Participates in company QHSE programs and processes as well as company security procedures.
- Quality control of materials and goods in and goods out
- Maintains proper storage condition for all materials, products, and goods.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a relevant.
- Communications skills in English/Spanish (if applicable).
- Knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Certified to drive forklifts.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Familiar with Global Vessel and Tank software programs
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
