Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Front End Loader operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy machinery to move materials, assist with site preparation, and support various construction activities. Your expertise will help ensure projects progress smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Duties
- Operate front end loaders to load, unload, and transport materials across construction sites
- Assist with excavation tasks using excavators, backhoes, and graders to prepare the ground for construction activities
- Manage material stockpiles and organize supplies for ongoing projects
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment such as dozers, water trucks, and dump trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Collaborate with team members to execute paving, horizontal drilling, and other specialized construction tasks
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations and report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and site activities
Requirements
- Proven experience operating front end loaders in a construction environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tanker trucks, and horizontal drilling machinery
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy vehicles such as dump trucks and water trucks
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on machinery and troubleshoot minor issues
- Construction site experience with knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is highly desirable
- Excellent teamwork skills coupled with a proactive approach to safety and efficiency
