Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects such as new construction, renovations, and maintenance of complex electrical systems. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely following NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems effectively.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation and control functions.
- Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, including proper grounding, circuit protection, and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites or renovation projects to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Proven ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting diverse electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Knowledge of high-voltage electrical wiring and installation practices in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards for safe electrical work practices.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage wiring for automation projects.
- Strong understanding of local electrical codes, safety procedures, and best practices for construction or renovation environments.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour
