We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and efficiently, facilitating smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. Duties
- Coordinate food orders from the kitchen to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Monitor the preparation of food items to guarantee quality and presentation standards are met.
- Utilize POS and other point-of-sale systems to track orders and manage inventory efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are properly sanitized before serving.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to resolve any issues that may arise during service.
- Implement time management strategies to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
- Support sales initiatives by providing excellent customer service and assisting with retail math calculations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in food preparation and sanitation practices.
- Proficiency in using POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for managing orders and inventory effectively.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to liaise between kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding service to customers.
