Assistant Property Manager – Affordable Housing (LIHTC & PBV)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Pay: $20–$24 per hour (based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support an affordable housing community with a strong focus on LIHTC (Tax Credit) and PBV recertifications, compliance, and inspection coordination. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working directly with residents and housing authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete annual and interim LIHTC and PBV recertifications
- Audit resident files to ensure affordable housing compliance
- Coordinate unit inspections, including scheduling, notices, tracking repairs, and re-inspections
- Maintain accurate and organized resident files and documentation
- Communicate with residents, vendors, and housing authorities
- Support the Property Manager with administrative and compliance-related tasks
Required Qualifications
- LIHTC (Tax Credit) and PBV experience required
- Knowledge of affordable housing compliance and documentation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and PDF management
Preferred Qualifications
- Property management experience in Rhode Island
- Experience working in affordable or subsidized housing communities
