Role Overview
Aline International LLC is a wholesale cabinet company seeking a professional and safety-focused Delivery Driver to join our warehouse operations team in Columbus, OH. The successful candidate will be responsible for the secure and timely transportation of goods, primarily operating a box truck for regional deliveries and weekly long-haul routes. This role requires a high degree of compliance with state transportation regulations and a commitment to advanced defensive driving techniques. This role requires a weekly drive to Chicago to retrieve the intercompany transfer.
Driving & Logistics
- Safely operate a box truck for local and regional deliveries.
- Valid Driver's License and DOT card on your person when driving
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safe driving practices, including mandatory use of safety belts and a zero-tolerance policy for mobile device use (calling or texting) while driving.
- Complete a mandatory round-trip delivery from Columbus to Chicago every Wednesday, or as needed
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time while maintaining vehicle safety and professionalism.
- Drivers accept responsibility for any moving violations
- Aline International LLC and its service providers conduct periodic Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks to ensure current driver status and track any violations not yet reported to the employer.
ODOT Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate daily driver logs in strict adherence to ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Ensure logs are current and a minimum of seven (7) preceding days of logs are always available for inspection.
- Perform and document thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure adherence to ODOT safety standards.
- Ensure all DOT registration and medical certifications remain current and on file with the office.
- Manage shipping documentation and delivery receipts with close attention to detail.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensing: Valid Class C Driver's License (must be presented at time of hire).
- Certifications: Current DOT registration must be on file.
- Experience: Previous experience operating box trucks or semi-trucks preferred.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time work, including the regular Wednesday Chicago route.
- Physical: Ability to assist with loading/unloading and securing cargo as needed.
Professional Conduct
- Represent Aline International LLC with professionalism when interacting with clients and the public.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment.
- Communicate promptly with the Warehouse Manager regarding any vehicle maintenance needs or delivery delays.
- Obey all state and federal laws at all times.
