Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machinist Level II for an opportunity in Spanish Fork, UT. This role is ideal for a hands-on machining professional with at least 3 years of experience setting up and operating lathes, mills, grinders, and related machining equipment to produce precision parts to exact specifications.
This Machinist position offers steady work, structured shifts, and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality production, development, and maintenance machining projects. Key Responsibilities
- Review engineering drawings, sketches, illustrations, and written or verbal instructions to plan machining sequences and determine proper tools, speeds, feeds, and work-holding methods.
- Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and related machining equipment to produce parts to close tolerances and specifications.
- Perform machining operations such as turning, facing, boring, chamfering, drilling, grooving, reaming, tapping, slotting, dovetailing, helical milling, and keyway machining.
- Machine ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys while following established quality, safety, and production procedures.
- Load, secure, and machine raw stock, grind cutting tools, drills, and bits, and maintain proper workflow within the work area.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines as needed and support additional shop duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience.
- 1st shift: 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
- Position type: 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
- Location: Spanish Fork, UT.
