Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join our non emergency transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting people safely and efficiently to their doctors appointment, Dialysis, and other non emergency services while providing excellent customer service. This role involves route driving, loading and unloading passengers and ensuring that pick ups and dropped off are made in a timely manner. The Driver will also be expected to maintain the vehicle in good condition and adhere to all safety regulations.
Duties
- Operate company vehicles, using an automatic transmission vehicles, for transportation purposes.
- Load and unload passengers ensuring that all passengers are secured properly during transport.
- Navigate designated routes using GPS on smart phone efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during transportation, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with route driving and local traffic patterns is a plus.
- Must have a smartphone, paid training, paid certifications testing; wheelchairs, stretchers, CPR, defense driving, and behavioral safety training.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and communication
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. being able to pass a drug screening, and able to pass a background check.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
