As a Client Care Associate, you serve as the first point of contact for clients, adopters, and donors—delivering exceptional service while supporting daily shelter operations. This role blends front-line customer care with hands-on support for animal services, ensuring each person and pet receives timely, compassionate, and professional assistance.
This is a 32-hour-per-week benefitted position. The primary coverage days needed are Friday through Monday. Opportunities to pick up an additional shift, for up to 40 hours per week, may be available on occasion.

Deliver friendly, efficient service in person, by phone, and via email—answering questions and connecting clients with resources

Support adoptions, intakes, and reclaims, ensuring accurate documentation and payments

Maintain up-to-date records, including animal profiles, photos, and client information

Assist animal care and veterinary teams with intake processes and vaccination tracking

Guide adopters through the process of finding the right pet for their home

Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office and public space
You are calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoy helping people and animals. You communicate clearly, juggle multiple tasks effectively, and approach challenges with professionalism and empathy. You’re comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and you can navigate emotionally sensitive situations with composure.
