We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to assist with the installation of low-voltage data cabling in a large warehouse environment. Current timeframe for work is July-August with the possibility of extending, depending on workload. This position involves pulling, supporting, and organizing network cable throughout the facility while working from a scissor lift at elevated heights. The ideal candidate is comfortable with physical labor, working in industrial environments, and following safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Pull and route Cat6 and fiber optic cabling throughout a warehouse facility.
- Assist with cable support installation and pathway preparation.
- Work safely from scissor lifts and ladders.
- Organize, label, and dress cabling according to project standards.
- Assist lead technicians with installation tasks as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all site safety requirements and company procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Requirements
- Ability to work at heights using a scissor lift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work in hot, dusty, and dirty warehouse conditions.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Basic hand tool experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience pulling low-voltage, data, or electrical cable.
- Experience operating scissor lifts.
- OSHA 10 certification (preferred but not required).
- Construction, warehouse, or industrial work experience.
Working Conditions
- Hot warehouse environment with limited climate control.
- Dust, dirt, and noise typical of an active industrial facility.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Daily use of scissor lifts and other access equipment.
