Duties
- Plan and deliver fun, safe, and age-appropriate gymnastics lessons tailored to various skill levels
- Demonstrate proper techniques for tumbling, balance beam routines, vaulting, and other gymnastics fundamentals
- Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and individual achievement
- Monitor participants’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Enforce safety protocols by ensuring equipment is used correctly and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and behavior
- Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and safety documentation at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience in gymnastics coaching or teaching physical education is highly preferred
- Strong background in sports-specific training instruction such as cheerleading, martial arts (Karate, Judo), soccer coaching, basketball or climbing is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work with children of diverse ages and skill levels with patience and enthusiasm
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), and Childcare are required or must be obtained upon hire
- Experience working with sports teams or leading group activities enhances your candidacy
- Excellent communication skills for effective client (parent/guardian) interaction and team collaboration
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct during activities
- Ability to stand, move actively throughout the shift, and lift equipment safely as needed
