Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team in delivering high-quality behavioral support services. As an RBT, you will work directly with children and individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Your role is vital in helping clients develop essential skills, improve behavior, and enhance their overall quality of life through evidence-based practices rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other licensed professional.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and hygiene routines.
- Collect and record accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and functional skills through engaging teaching strategies.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to promote desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively.
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families and caregivers to provide updates on progress and reinforce strategies used during sessions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or RBT certification
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorders.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior support plans with patience and professionalism.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Previous experience in home-based behavioral therapy or school settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients’ families, team members, and other professionals.
