Job Title: Senior Operations Manager
Overview
Fathom Advisors is a wealth management firm managing more than $1.6 billion in assets for approximately 850 client households. We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to help lead and strengthen our operations function. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this person will develop team members, build systems that track and measure progress, and help keep the firm running efficiently as it grows.
Responsibilities
- Team Development & Coaching: Develop and coach members of the operations team using goal-setting, regular feedback, and performance reviews. Support each team member's growth and help sustain a positive, accountable, collaborative culture.
- Systems, Tracking & Reporting: Put in place and maintain systems that track and measure team activity, progress, and results. Conduct performance reporting and use the data to identify and drive improvements.
- Process Improvement: Streamline processes across the firm and contribute ideas and strategies to the COO to improve efficiency and the client experience.
- Human Resources: Oversee and coordinate day-to-day HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee relations, partnering with firm leadership on people-related matters.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with the firm's key vendors and technology providers, including contracts, and ensuring the firm receives strong value and reliable service.
- Technology & Tools: Help implement, integrate, and get the most out of the firm's technology, including CRM and other core systems, to improve day-to-day efficiency.
- Cross-functional Support: Partner with advisors, client service, and firm leadership to keep departments aligned and initiatives on track.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree required; ongoing management or leadership training a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams and people.
- Excellent people-management skills, with a genuine focus on developing and coaching team members.
- High aptitude for leadership and technology, with a strong ability to quickly learn and leverage new systems and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build systems and processes that track and measure activity and progress.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective across all levels of the firm.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation, Location & Benefits
Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000 annually, including base salary and incentives.
Location: This position is based in our Bloomington, MN office.
