Overview
Wingate's Pharmacy and Compounding strives to provide unique, individualized medications for both people and animals. We are looking for a highly motivated pharmacist to become part of our team. Our pharmacists take an active part in the prescription process and are often called upon to recommend therapeutic strategies to the prescriber.
Part time (8-16 hrs/week) in growing compounding only pharmacy. No experience necessary in compounding. We will train the right candidate. Shifts include mostly weekdays between 8am-5pm and Saturday rotation between 8am and 1pm. As well as vacation coverage.
Candidates should expect to work in a fast paced environment. Success will be based on willingness to learn compounding topics, attention to detail, working in a team environment.
Duties
* Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, consulting with prescriber and making recommendations.
* Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling prescriptions.
* Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
* Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying preparation, labeling, and packaging of orders.
* Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies.
* Complies with state and federal pharmacy laws.
* Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Effectively contributes to a team environment
* Demonstrate leadership skills and desire for continued quality control and ideas for improvement.
* Supervise support staff to maintain efficiency and productivity
* Follow all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to your practice
Requirements
- BS in pharmacy or PharmD
- Post-grad compounding knowledge preferred but willing to train motivated, self-starters
- Active NH license in good standing
- Strong commitment to patient care
- Positive, outgoing personality and ability to work as an integral team member
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with others
Our pharmacy has family friendly hours. Open Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm and Saturday 8:30am-1pm.
No nights, No long weekends, and Closed major holidays.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
