Henry’s Foods, Inc. in Bismarck, ND is looking for an overnight Shuttle Driver to Safely Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle pulling trailers to and from several different depot locations.
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a willingness and ability to adapt to changing schedules and routes.
- Previous Commercial Motor Vehicle experience or related Professional Truck Driver training.
- Doubles Certification
- Available to work any day of the week.
- Eligible to drive in multiple states.
- Ability and agreement to accept last minute changes to schedule to cover sick calls and emergencies.
- Agreement to accept any route assignment.
- Valid Class A CDL and Medical Card
- Acceptable Driving Record
- Safely operate Commercial Motor Vehicle
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Inspects and verifies loaded trailers have the correct load headed to the intended destination.
- Inspects load, adds load locks and/or load boards as needed to stabilize load.
- Returns to Alexandria location. Unload trailer/s of totes, milk crates, returns, pallets, etc.
- Gains familiarity with multiple routes to established depot points.
- Safely drives Commercial Motor Vehicle pulling trailers to and from several different depot locations.
- Pick up scheduled backhauls.
- Sweep trailer clean to prepare it for the next load.
- Fill truck with fuel and DEF.
- Removes trash from truck.
- Adheres to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Henry’s Foods, Inc. Fleet Operation and Safety Policy.
- Accurately records driving time with the use of Samsara.
- Uses dolly equipment to transport double trailer combinations.
- Unloads trailer(s) with empty totes and rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Provides relevant information to immediate supervisor to assist in development of efficient routing.
- Informs immediate supervisor of needed equipment repairs.
