Job Schedule:
What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public cultural location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, lobbies, exhibit areas, administrative spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to control access, observe visitor activity, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or maintenance concerns.

Support opening, closing, and after-hours procedures by checking assigned areas, verifying that restricted spaces remain properly controlled, and reporting issues that may affect daily operations.
Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
