Plumber Job Description
Position: Plumber
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and industrial properties. The successful candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities for Plumber
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, sewer lines, fixtures, and plumbing equipment.
- Diagnose plumbing problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Inspect plumbing systems and identify defects, leaks, blockages, and code violations.
- Install and repair sinks, faucets, toilets, water heaters, pumps, garbage disposals, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform pipe fitting, soldering, welding, threading, and assembly of plumbing components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functionality.
- Respond to emergency plumbing service calls as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service reports.
- Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and team members.
- Operate plumbing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of plumbing experience preferred.
- Experience in commercial, or industrial plumbing environments.
- Proven experience with plumbing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience working with various piping materials including PVC, copper, PEX, cast iron, and galvanized steel.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex plumbing issues.
- Knowledge of water heater installation and repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
