This role is essential in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of our public spaces while supporting a positive guest experience.
Position Summary
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas throughout the hotel. This position helps ensure guests enjoy a safe, clean, and inviting environment by performing routine cleaning duties, restocking supplies, and responding to hotel needs while upholding Hampton by Hilton and Hilton brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all public areas, including the lobby, breakfast area, hallways, elevators, restrooms, fitness center, and meeting spaces
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize designated areas throughout the property
- Restock guest and public restroom supplies as needed
- Remove trash and recyclables from public spaces and designated collection areas
- Monitor public areas to ensure cleanliness and promptly address any issues
- Assist housekeeping and other departments as needed to support hotel operations
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or repair needs to management
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in an organized and safe manner
- Follow all hotel cleanliness, safety, and brand standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Positive, professional, and dependable attitude
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Schedule
- Part-time, approximately 16-20 hours per week
- Daytime and evening shifts available
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required
