Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Infant Teacher to guide and inspire our youngest learners. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment for infants, ensuring their developmental needs are met through engaging activities and personalized care. As a leader in the classroom, you will collaborate with team members to promote positive behavior, support early childhood development, and uphold high standards of safety and education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote infant development and curiosity
- Provide attentive, loving care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Monitor each child's progress and communicate developmental milestones with families regularly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Lead classroom management efforts to foster positive behavior and social skills among infants
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to share best practices and ensure consistency in caregiving approaches
- Stay current on early childhood education techniques, mandated reporting laws, and pediatric first aid procedures
Skills
- Proven experience working with infants in childcare or preschool settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and infant care best practices
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, or related health & safety training
- Strong classroom management skills tailored to young children’s needs
- Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with families and team members
- Familiarity with early childhood education standards, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws
