POSITION SUMMARY
The responsibilities of the Court Records Supervisor 2 in the Criminal Court Department include retrieving and distributing daily court calendars and court records to appropriate external parties. The supervisor also performs all pre-court functions prior to the start of court sessions, including verifying that court records are complete and accurate, informing the court of any discrepancies.
Additional duties include ensuring that proper notifications are sent to all parties, downloading, and setting cases upon the court’s request, and review calendars and call calendars. The supervisor also notifies the judge regarding case messages and records case actions either automatically or manually.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of courtroom procedures for non-trial and jury proceedings.
- Knowledge of court procedures.
- Knowledge of Regulations, Florida Statues, Administrative and Judicial Orders as it pertains to this Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing and supervising the afternoon courtroom clerks; coordinating case preparation for Court Sessions.
- Ensuring clerks are adhering to established court procedures and timelines, such as complying to the proper handling, logging, and the secure submission of evidence after hours.
- Coordinating with judicial officers, security, building management, and administrative staff.

- Proficient knowledge and use of all case management applications and office software.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Clear verbal and communication skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed in an office, courtroom, records, and public service environment, with extended periods at a computer. Duties may involve light lifting (up to 10 pounds), as well as sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
