EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position focuses on repairing, maintaining, and diagnosing a wide range of vehicles and construction equipment for safe and dependable operation. The work supports transportation services that rely on well-functioning machinery. As a Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic, you will perform the following duties: Mechanical Repair: Perform repairs on vehicles and equipment including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical componentsPreventative Maintenance: Complete scheduled service tasks to keep vehicles and equipment in safe working conditionDiagnostic Work: Identify issues using tools and diagnostic equipment to decide proper repair methodsState Inspections: Carry out safety and emissions inspections and complete all required documentationEquipment Upkeep: Maintain and service motorized hand tools and report missing or damaged partsSafety Practices: Follow safety procedures, observe hazards, and take steps to prevent injuriesInterested in learning more? Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
