Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene compliance
- Assist with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Support the team with bussing tables and clearing plates during busy service periods
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots, trays, or bulk supplies safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all food safety management protocols and sanitation standards at all times
Skills
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments preferred, including catering or banquet settings
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and sanitizing practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with food preparation processes are a plus
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
