Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion.
Every day you will expertly operate equipment, meticulously position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You'll collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health.
To be successful in this role, you will possess current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.

Demonstrates effective communication by answering telephones using name, department, and title. Screens calls appropriately and refers callers to the correct staff member, patient, department, and /or resource in a timely manner. Makes every attempt to answer phones with three rings. Monitors time individuals may be on hold and reassures them their calls have not been forgotten. Takes clear, accurate, concise notes.

Relays messages in a timely manner, opens and delivers mail as appropriate.

Provides clerical support within the department. Transcribes MD’s reports and enters them into the computer for implementation and ancillary department follow through. Asks questions in advance to gain clear understanding of the projects. Completes assignments accurately, and within the agreed timeframe.

Job Requirements
Required
-
Must have satisfactorily completed a formal radiologic technology training program accredited through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch (CDPHRHB).

Four (4) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist

Working in and proficient in one (1) advanced modality

Three (3) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and working and proficient in two (2) advanced modalities, one (1) of which must be CT or Mammography.

Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT)

Pay Range
$66.08 - $72.95 /hour
