Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. In this role, you will deliver professional massage therapy services designed to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being for our diverse clientele. Your expertise will help clients achieve their health and wellness goals through personalized treatment plans, utilizing advanced techniques rooted in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Specifically we are looking for a massage therapist that specializes in lymphatic massages for face and body and pre natal massages. Pay would be based on commission on bookings.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify areas of tension, pain points, and specific health concerns
- Develop customized treatment plans that incorporate pain management strategies and occupational health considerations
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient progress, and relevant medical information in compliance with privacy standards
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and clinic policies
- Stay current with industry advancements, certifications, and best practices in medical massage therapy and spa treatments
Skills
- Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Proficiency in various massage techniques including deep tissue work and trigger point therapy for effective pain relief
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments to tailor treatments effectively
- Experience with occupational health protocols and med spa environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with healthcare standards related to patient safety, hygiene, and confidentiality
