We’re hiring a skilled Wire EDM Machinist to set up, operate, and optimize CNC Wire EDM equipment producing high-precision tooling and components for metal packaging and high-volume manufacturing.
This is a hands-on role for a detail-driven machinist who takes pride in tight tolerances, clean setups, and consistent, high-quality output. If you enjoy solving problems at the machine, working with precision blueprints, and keeping complex equipment running at peak performance—this role is for you.
What You'll Do

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Wire EDM machines to produce precision components and tooling

Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturing routings

Make program edits, offsets, and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and optimize performance

Determine machining strategy based on print requirements and process flow

Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools and CMM equipment

Troubleshoot machine, programming, setup, and tooling issues to minimize downtime

Manage wire, electrodes, and consumables to maintain efficient production

Run multiple EDM machines and support lights-out / unattended machining operations

Support scheduling for overnight and weekend unattended production

Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety guidelines, and quality requirements

Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to improve processes and reduce waste

Cross-train and support CNC Milling and Turning operations as needed
What We're Looking For
Experience & Knowledge
-
3–5+ years of CNC Wire EDM or RAM EDM experience
-
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
-
Hands-on experience with controls such as Fanuc, Makino, Mitsubishi, or similar

Ability to edit CNC programs and document changes accurately

Experience with first article and in-process inspection

Proficient with precision measuring tools and CMM equipment
-
Familiarity with ISO quality systems and manufacturing best practices

High School Diploma or GED required (technical training or apprenticeship preferred)
Preferred Qualifications

Technical school, machining certification, or apprenticeship training.

Experience producing precision tooling, dies, molds, or metal forming components.

CMM inspection experience.

Experience operating CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

Manufacturing experience supporting metal packaging, consumer goods, or industrial production environments.
