Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to uphold sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishware during busy service times to support smooth restaurant operations
- Handle manual tasks such as loading/unloading dishwashers and organizing clean items for storage or use
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers and cleaning machinery in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support food preparation activities when needed by assisting with basic ingredient handling and prep tasks
- Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure proper food handling and sanitation throughout the kitchen
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large quantities of dishes or supplies
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards and sanitation practices
- Strong manual handling skills with attention to detail in cleaning procedures
